Lenses are an upgrade to Laser Energy Transmitters and are either crafted out of mob drops or crystals found deep underground, a lens increases the transmission rate (speed) of Laser Energy Transmitters; the amount changed is dependent on if the lens is linear or percent based. Percent based is effected by both the transmitter and the the lens, while linear is only dependent on the lens.

Strategy

In the early game with low-powered LETs, it is recommended to used the crystal-based lenses (e.g. diamond, emerald, etc.) as it will give you a better boost.  During the late-game, the organic lenses are recommend.
