Hardened Resin is created by Hiveminds, and can be turned into a valuable crafting material called Liquified Resin. It can be mined by using a combination of the Laser Resin Ablator and the Laser Resin Liquifier.
Alternatively, hardened resin can only be destroyed by Chargeable Explosives and NanoDisintegrators. These items do not drop resin for crafting.

Attempting to break Hardened Resin with the players build gun will result in a message notifying the player that they need to upgrade their Build Gun to a higher tier, though as of Patch 9 there has been no mention if an ability of a higher tier Build Gun will have the ability to break this material.
